Faith Corner

I believeWelcome to my Faith Corner!

First let me say flat out that you do not have to belong to my faith to come here, learn about real estate and join in the discussion.  Anyone interested in real estate investing who wants to engage with me in learning and sharpening our skills together is a perfect fit here and is warmly welcomed.

What’s more, I feel blessed that REItips.com is an investor community rich with diversity, filled with subscribers of many faiths.

At the same time, please know that I am entirely unashamed of my faith.  I am authentically who I am: a Christian – a follower of Jesus Christ – and it’s my true honor and privilege to have any opportunity to openly share my faith with you.  My life is far from pristine, but I’ve been richly blessed even still and feel compelled to give credit where credit is due for this.

Please rest assured I’m not here to play the “faith card”. My aim is not to offend you, persuade you, oppress you, push you, pull you or judge you. I just want to be completely honest and share some really Good News for anyone who wants to hear it.

Here’s a fact: My life is completely changed because of my relationship with God. I’m not the man I once was.  I once was lost and my heart was tragically stained by sin (though I didn’t really know it).

Now I’ve been found and saved. I have a personal relationship (yes, personal relationship) with the Creator of the universe and with His Son, Jesus Christ. My sins are no longer held against me, and the debt that comes with those sins has been paid in full.  In other words, my sins have been forgiven…forever. Gone.  Buh-bye.

No, I’m not perfect now – far from it actually (just ask my wife!).  But that’s what’s cool. It’s not about me being perfect – not yesterday, today or tomorrow.  It’s about the One who was perfect for me, who died for me, and with whom I now have an eternal, secure seat in Heaven.

The best part is it was all a free gift. I just had to believe and accept it. Because yeah, God loves me just that much.

Look, I don’t know your circumstances. I don’t know how good or bad you think you are. It doesn’t matter really. Just know that we’re all in the same boat.  Everyone, me and you included, has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.  And what’s more, every single one of us deserves the full punishment for that sin – eternal damnation in Hell.

john 3:16But the good news – the really freakin’ awesome news – is that no matter who you are or what your circumstances might be, you too can be forgiven. Yes, God loves you just that much too.  You can be fully restored, become a new person with a new hope, have a personal relationship with God you never imagined and experience a freedom you’ve probably never thought possible.

No, your life won’t become suddenly perfect. But you’ll be forgiven and finally know what it means to be truly alive.

If you want to know more about what it means to be forgiven and experience a personal relationship with my friend Jesus, just ask.  I’d love to share more with you. Also, here’s a page from my home church’s website that explains it all clearly and concisely.

Thanks again for stopping by my Faith Corner here.  I hope you find something truly meaningful, and as always I welcome your frank comments.  May God richly bless you and yours.

Very Sincerely,

Johnpaul Moses

I am new to real estate investing, and recently listened to your CD with Preston on probate investing. Although I am Jewish, it is refreshing to hear of successful businessmen/entrempeneurs, who do proudly and openly show their faith. We are living in a world where personal wants, desires, and feelings seem to trump everyone and everything, to the point of near social anarchy. At the same time, we see a statist nanny-state government growing out of a rising tide of secularism and atheism. Without going totally gaga about your religious faith, you have projected a personality that shows us that successful business CAN go hand in hand with religion, without being preachy or subjective, but honest and true to your beliefs. Thank you for your refreshing outlook on life and faith, and I hope to soo be able to join  you in the ranks of successful real estate (contract) investors.

Wow, thank you! I really appreciate your perspective…and yes, we need more faith in our daily lives, not less. We’re a nation founded in large part on freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. You can be unashamed of your faith without being preachy…and that’s absolutely my goal. Thank you!

Awesome! I commend you for putting your faith in your business, with no shame, fear of loss or hesitation! That is truly living it my friend! Thanks for the inspiration!

I am a Pastor and I know God is leading me into Real Estate investing.  What knowlegde can you offer me to help me and my business partner.  We are looking for covenient partners to help us purchase our  first deal, that it maybe re-hab.

Well my first piece of advice is to educate yourself on your specific niche first by finding one or two solid courses and going through them together. Then line up the team players you’ll need, start connecting with other investors at your local REIA and set your sights on that first deal. That’s the 30,000 foot view at least.

    Are you in Detroit?

Thanks for sharing, you don’t see that very often.

I am pursuing a dream to leave my current 9 to 5 so I can dedicate more time to my faith and family.  I have a little promise to myself that when things start going my way I will find a way to give a lot of my earnings to causes much higher then myself.  I guess we will see if I get there, but I know I have him on my side.  Keep up the good work and I am always looking forward to your next podcast.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. Act 4:12
For I’m not ashamed of the gospel it is the power of God to save …

    Hello, J.P.

I am so glad to find this.  Jesus is on the throne.  Being able to connect with other believers, and have them openly and unashamed declare they have a close relationship with God and that through Jesus Christ they are saved, it is wonderful.  I am so glad that I found Faith Corner!  Keep up to great work.

Just stumbled on your site and just wanted to comment how much I enjoyed reading it and really enjoyed going to your Church’s site and looking through it.  There is so much that is offered by your Church and it is wonderful.  I am an Associate Broker in a small firm in a small town located in the Hill Country of Texas.  Town of Llano, Texas population of 3700+.  I am a Christian and have been amazed at the number of walk-ins that I have had that come to into my office and see that I have a Cross or two or other items that profess my faith and say how glad they are to be working with a fellow Christian.  It really is comforting for them and it just makes the working relationship take on a different feel.  Just amazing how you can be sitting talking about buying or selling a property and all of a sudden the conversation turns just ever so slightly to how GOD has led them to this  decision and from there it just gets better.  Guess that is one reason why I love the Real estate business is because I can also share my Faith knowing that it is acceptable.  I have never overstepped and I still have these individuals as clients and friends.  Thank you again for your sharing your Faith with us.

I also am a born again, spirit filled Christian. God has been there for me all the time. Sometimes, a lot of times, things do not turn out my way, but usually a better way. These are situations I always remember when the next hurdle comes. I immediately turn to God an His promises. He has promised never to leave me and always be there through trials and tribulations. God bless all.

My beloved brother in Christ…..You are awesome!! All the Glory to God!!

  • Eric in Iowa

Hey, this is refreshing. I just happened to run across this website and info. It seems like a man of faith sharing his story of what really matters. I appreciate that.
I am a Realtor and wannabee investor. I am getting real serious and have read many books and yet to be sucked into a r.e. investing program, but know I need a lot more knowledge and could use a mentor. If you know of someone very knowledgeable in r.e. investing and has a creative approach (out of the box) to r.e. investing, let me know!!!
I am tired of the gurus and experts telling me I just need to join them. I want a r.e. mentor who is a Christian and experienced in investing of more than one type and is willing to give a little direction to a brother before I am down to my last dime.
    Thanks!
    God Bless!!!

Hi, JP! Just wanted to say thank you for being where GOD placed you – in your destiny. The Spirit of the Lord kept me on the computer today. I’m a newbie real estate investor and was searching for helpful info. Through Preston’s site (another believer), I found yours. The info you provided is very helpful to me and my destiny!
